Online therapy works similarly to in-person therapy, but it is conducted over the internet using a secure video conferencing platform. Once you schedule an appointment, you'll receive a link to a virtual meeting room where you’ll meet with your therapist at the designated time. It’s important that you find a quiet, private space for your session to ensure confidentiality and to help you feel comfortable during the therapy. Online therapy offers flexibility, as you can engage in sessions from the comfort of your own home or any private space without the need for commuting.

Your first therapy session is mainly about getting to know each other and setting the foundation for our work together. We’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, your goals, and any specific issues you want to address. It’s also a time for you to ask questions about the therapy process. I’ll explain how I work and what you can expect in future sessions. This initial meeting is also about building trust and ensuring you feel safe and comfortable moving forward.

The duration of therapy varies widely depending on your individual needs, goals, and the specifics of what you’re dealing with. Some people find relief and achieve their objectives within a few months, while others may choose to continue therapy for longer periods. During our initial sessions, we’ll work together to set realistic goals and periodically review these goals to ensure they still align with your needs. Therapy is a personal journey, and its length should be tailored to support your growth and healing.
